Bridgit Parker

Earlier today our little girl finally made her entrance into the world. Bridgit Parker Bailey, born at 12:58 a.m. at 7 pounds, 3 ounces, and 19.5 inches long. She is stubborn, just like her daddy.  After 28 hours in labor, painful and exhausting labor, she was still not making any progress towards joining us.  The doctor decided that it was time for a c-section before there were any complications with the baby's life, or mine.  As terrified as I was, I knew that it was for the best.  Sean and I decided that the doctor knew best and made up our minds to move forward with the surgery.   Sean called our parents up to the hospital so that they could be there before we went in.  Everyone gave their love, took too many pictures of me looking miserable, and headed to the waiting room.  Sean then "suited up" in his paper scrubs, got his mask and booties ready, and told me how much he loved me as they rolled me into the operating room.    The next few hours were a blur of pa

Waiting. ..

The advice I heard from everyone the past few days was to get some sleep before I had to head in for my induction this morning.   So, what did I  do?  Lay wide awake for most of the night thinking about everything that was to come. We are now at the hospital waiting, waiting,  and waiting.  Baby B is quite the stubborn  one, but she will be so worth it once she is here.

New Additions

It has been quite a while since my last post here on Leslie's Litter. Time has passed, months have rolled by, and life has changed - completely!  My husband and I are expecting an addition to our litter.  We are headed in to the hospital first thing tomorrow morning to get induced, 8 days late.  We are very excited to bring  Baby B home and embark on a new adventure  in life....and what an adventure it will be! Our goals in life have been slightly  rearranged,  but we still have plans to live life to the fullest and retire early in the process. In the next few months I will be documenting life with a newborn, a no-spend March, our first family trip to celebrate Easter, and much more! I hope that you will join me and share your stories as well!
