Goal Update

Monday is going to be my goal update day!  I will try to use this as a way to be held accountable for my weekly goals, and as I work towards my Monthly and Yearly Goals... Each week I start Monday with a new outlook, telling myself that I am going to get everything on my list(s) accomplished and that I am still going to have time (and energy) to do other things as well, but by Thursday night I am feeling like the week is over and I just want to sleep in and take "time off" because it's the weekend!  Let's see if this week I make it through my entire list. To Do This Week: *Write a Letter to ODOT and Mail in the Ticket and Fee (For My Dear Husband) *Celebrate Mom's Birthday! *Spend Time with My "Little" (Especially Since We Missed Last Week's Visit!) *Work on DeClutter Calendar *Read Money Saving Mom's Budget (Check Out Her Site at www.moneysavingmom.com)  *Work on Surveys, Panels, etc. Update on Goals: *Surveys - January has been

Showers, Weddings, Love...Oh My!

Today was a day full of brides, grooms, and family that was tagging along to the bridal show! I love all things wedding, and all things love, and it is always great to see all of the vendors from the area coming together to help each bride realize her dreams and to make them come true... all within the budget that she has to work within.  I especially loved today...I had a great day full of bookings and inquiries, and that means ... an amazing year ahead! Now...Let the bells chime!

Where Did The Time Go?

Today is Sean's birthday!  When did he get so... OLD?  He must have slept most of it away, explaining his young boyish looks, ha ha. As we celebrate today I like remember all of memories that we have made together, the laughing, crying, vacations, stay-cations, sunrises, sleeping in late, spending time with friends, curling up on the couch alone... every thing that has made us...well, us!  He's not perfect, but he's perfect for me and so on his birthday I wish for him to have a perfect to him birthday, and not according to anyone else's standards.  To us this means dinner with our parents, cuddles with "the litter", and relaxing in pajamas at the end of the night while sitting on the couch... I mean really, what could be better? By the way... Looking for a way to keep up to date with my blog? Follow by Blog with BlogLovin

Erica's Big Day!

As part of my goals for 2012 I am going to be blogging more about fun, friends, work, love, just life in general.  It will include the good, the bad, and the ugly...because who wants to only hear the sugar coated side of things?  Each day will TRY  to have some kind of focus, a person, a recipe, a triumph, or just a random thought. Today, Friday the 13th, is dedicated to Erica.  Erica is an amazing friend, dedicated co-worker, and a good accountability partner; and today was her BIG DAY.   While we are not quite sure why it was her BIG DAY, we do know that it was... Rich (her boyfriend) told us so!  While Erica had an un-eventful, yet stressful day of work full of random jobs with imaginary deadlines and a ridiculous "theme" to try to work within, it was a long day... which can be interpreted to big?  But, even with all of these things working against her she still had a smile on her face and jokes in her back pocket.   When she left work today she had a lis

No Resolutions... Only Goals!

Now that the New Year is upon us it is time to set up goals, not resolutions for the year that lies ahead.  Resolutions are empty promises with no plan behind them, but Goals.... Goals are planned, thought out, and able to be achieved. This year I have decided to challenge myself with goals in multiple different areas of my life... including in the kitchen!  I am planning on trying a new recipe, and baking something (FROM SCRATCH!) each month in 2012.  *My husband hasn't decided if he will try them all or not, but hopefully they are not complete failures and he enjoys eating them as much as I enjoy trying to make them. I have also made goals in the financials areas of my life with plans to follow the Dave Ramsey plan and paying off all debt and begin working on our mortgage with "gazelle intensity".  We have also laid out an updated Budget and I plan to strictly stick to this, allowing us more money to put on our debt. Health is another area that I have made go

Private Selection Appetizers

As part of my journey to new adventures in life I have come across BzzAgent where I am sent products (or coupons to pick up products) that are new(er) to the market at no cost to me, in return for my honest reviews. This week I was given coupons to try appetizers, pizza, and dessert from Private Selection that is available at Kroger stores.  Last evening I prepared the appetizer trio of phyllo with fillings.  They were very high quality, but they were rich in flavor and somewhat overwhelming to me.  I am willing, and looking forward, to try other products because it is easy to tell how much time and effort they put into their products... this one was just not for me. Tomorrow night my husband is coming home from a week out of town for work and I am looking forward to preparing the chocolate lava cakes.  These became a favorite of ours a few years ago in Orlando and I am happy to find a version that is quick and easy to make at home.  It will remind us of our favorite restaurant o
