Leslie's Litter

This Memorial Day Weekend was wonderful, and productive!  It was a great start to the summer ahead of us, and I hope that I keep this energy going for more then just a day or two! Friday was spent working around the house, laundry, changing sheets, cleaning litter boxes, the normal weekly chores to take care of my litter.  I spent the evening working late, but got to come home to pizza with the family, yum! Saturday I took it easy throughout the day, knowing that I had to work all evening (real work)... so I read a wonderful book that I was behind on, I took a few email surveys, and I caught up on my blog reading.  I even fit in a little freezer "cooking", I took an idea from Money Saving Mom  and put some peanut butter and jelly sandwiches in the freezer.  This sounds a little crazy, but it is a great idea for my house because we usually do not have bread in the house, so now if I want a PB&J I can just grab it out of the freezer!  Then, after a...

I am trying to get some food in the freezer as the summer nears for a few different reasons. *I don't want to have to heat up the house more then needed this summer. *Lots of parties coming up, I need to have real food for my hubby. *When we get the urge to run out to the boat I want food as quickly as possible,      without settling for fast food on the drive. *Last but not least, I am feeling motivated & I have to take advantage while I can. So today I took a recipe from who other then,  Money Saving Mom !  I tried out her Ham & Cheese Hot Pockets, and even though I haven't tried one yet they look (& smell) delicious! I even got to use my bread machine to make my dough.  I always feel quite accomplished when I actually pull it out for some use. I am looking forward to pulling these out for quick meals over the next couple months! What should I make next?!?

Being in the event business I rarely get full weekends off of work, but this weekend I had Saturday and Sunday to myself!  I even made it a point not to answer work phone calls, text messages, or read my work email!  What an empowering feeling to just RELAX! On Saturday my day was spent with my in-laws celebrating my birthday and Mother's Day.  I got to read books with my nephew, and we all took naps during movie time on the couch! After that we headed to a long time friend's house for an annual birthday bash!  We sat a talked, played Foosball, watched the Tigers game, and played with the cutest little girls who are growing up way to quickly in between our visits! On Sunday morning I took this delicious tray of goodies over to my parent's house to have breakfast with mom and grandma and spend some quality time together.... I am currently working on a trial of Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine Shampoo and Conditioner, that I was given through BzzAgent.com for a review. The package arrived, and I am pleasantly surprised by the scent, package, and all around product that I received.  My hair looks amazing in the sun, and the humidity has not been able to take its normal toll on my hair which would turn me into a frizz head! This is a product that I will definitely be purchasing the next time that I need to make a purchase of shampoo and conditioner!
