Goal Update

Monday is going to be my goal update day!  I will try to use this as a way to be held accountable for my weekly goals, and as I work towards my Monthly and Yearly Goals...

Each week I start Monday with a new outlook, telling myself that I am going to get everything on my list(s) accomplished and that I am still going to have time (and energy) to do other things as well, but by Thursday night I am feeling like the week is over and I just want to sleep in and take "time off" because it's the weekend!  Let's see if this week I make it through my entire list.

To Do This Week:

*Write a Letter to ODOT and Mail in the Ticket and Fee (For My Dear Husband)
*Celebrate Mom's Birthday!
*Spend Time with My "Little" (Especially Since We Missed Last Week's Visit!)
*Work on DeClutter Calendar
*Read Money Saving Mom's Budget (Check Out Her Site at www.moneysavingmom.com)
*Work on Surveys, Panels, etc.

Update on Goals:

*Surveys - January has been Record Setting - $96.34 and the month is only 1/2 over!
*Couch to 5k - Week 1 is Finished & I am Ready to Start Week 2 tomorrow morning!
*Budget - We have been doing great at staying out of stores, only using gift cards for restaurants, and not buying anything we don't need, however... Vacation is Just around the corner & we decided to treat ourselves to a ski weekend at the end of the month!
*Baking - Homemade Cherry Pie for Sean's Birthday (twice because the first one didn't make it to his birthday... he was eating it for breakfast, lunch, & dinner!)

Set Your Self for Success by Using Goals and Discipline to Get There.  You never get any where if you don't try.

A Week of Golf

In 2017 my team was tasked with exciting job of catering to the LPGA Marathon Classic for their week long golf tournament here in town.  We had less then 4 months to prepare, and we had never done anything on such a large scale before.  It was both exhilarating and terrifying, especially for an Enneagram 6 like me.  We are loyal and committed, but our biggest needs are security, and we fear not having the support and guidance needed.  What a way to walk into a task like this.   I was suddenly tasked with finding organizations to fill close to 200 shifts for concession stands, as well as around 75 employees to help me make this event a reality.  It took a lot of time, planning, questions, stress, and a roller coaster of emotions, but we did it!  It was amazing the feeling that you have after you accomplish something like that. Since then we have continued to receive this job each July, and each year has gotten a little easier.  We have ha...

YouData.com

Looking for a quick, easy way to make some extra money?  Check out YouData. It is not a huge money maker, but the pennies add up with time, and it is always nice to see a few extra cents get added into the budget, for something that you normally do on a daily basis...look at ads and watch commercials! Here is a copy of my referral email if you would like to join under my account (which I would be grateful for), or you can always visit the site on your own to sign up! I found something that I think you will like. The company's name is YouData ( youdata.com ). They are trying to convince consumers like us that we should be the ones controlling our own data and selling our own attention, not third parties like broadcasters, newspapers, and spammers. By creating a MeFile at YouData.com, I now control what ads I see and when I see them. Best part - I am selling my attention directly to interested advertisers, for real money. That's right, I get paid fo...

Small Celebrations

Did you celebrate Cinco de Mayo yesterday?  If so, awesome!  We did too!   If not, WHY NOT?!?! I don't drink anymore, but I can still celebrate. We didn't get to go anywhere, but we can still celebrate. Take every chance that you get right now to celebrate.  When life is a little "off" and things aren't as easy as they used to be, then we need to look for joy.  We need to find these reasons to celebrate, and as often as we can. Last night we ate Fajitas - chicken and beef - with guacamole, salsa, and all the toppings.  We drew our best verision of a Mariachi singer, and we sat together as a family.   Nothing over the top, nothing miraculous, but we laughed.  We smiled. We celebrated. What is something that you can celebrate today. The sunshine?  Getting a workout in?  Getting 10 workouts in a row done?  Not yelling at your child?  Even better.... your child doing their homework without you having to yell at...
