As you can see from previous posts... this blog is about nothing, and everything, all wrapped up into one website.
This started as a place to discuss the actions that my husband and I were taking to reduce our spending, pay off debt, and try to retire at an early age. At this time we had 3 cats, and a mountain of debt; home, cars, timeshare, student loans, and lots and lots of credit cards.
Since then we have become parents to an amazing little girl, that deserves the world, and knows it. She wants it all...and she wants it NOW! (and yes, we listen to lots of Queen songs, I mean, who doesn't!??)
We have been lucky enough to have steady jobs, and lots of opportunities over the years to work sides jobs for some additional income. We followed Dave Ramsey for inspiration by listening to his radio show, reading the books, and listening to podcasts. With all of this information we were able to pay off all of our debt, including our home, and live the life that we have dreamed of. We still work, but we also know our limits of spending, we save as much as we can for our future, and we have awesome parents that know that we care more about experiences then "stuff" when getting us gifts for holidays and birthdays.
So, this blog will continue to be a mixture of my life. I have been MIA for a while, but I am hoping to turn that around in my 35th year, and take advantage of some time each day to just write. It may be about something important, or just something that is weighing on my heart. It honestly may be about nothing at all, but just something to write, so that I can write every day.
I am hoping to make this about our adventures as a family one day, but as most of you know - there is no where to go right now. We are all on "Stay at Home" orders, and need to keep our families safe. However, I am in the process of putting together picture books from past trips, and during that I will add some posts about our adventures. I have some tips and tricks about our favorite places that we have visited, and how to have amazing vacations on a budget, without missing out on anything!
Where should we travel back in time to first - Hawaii? Disney? Ireland? Caribbean Cruise?
